The other day I was driving and could see the top of this tree in the distance in East Islip...so I followed it to see if it was in a location where I could park and paint it. My friend, Suzala had given me a small, 5 inch x 5 inch, home-made, accordion sketchbook that I used for this.
Flowering trees are a joy to sketch. It strikes you even at a distance. Well done! I'm sure Suzala's home-made sketchbook is a winner.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mel. I have to capture these before all the blossoms fall off.
DeleteThis is lovely Joan - a really nice touch of spring
ReplyDeleteVal, thank you. The magnolias are so striking when the trees are full of blooms.
DeleteDouble page, double the beauty even in small size. :-)
