This painting was done from a photo I took when I was in Killarney National Park in Ireland. As you can see it wasn't a sunny day. I find dark clouds a challenge, so this was interesting to do. This painting is 5 x 7.
Stormy Sky by Joan Tavolott |
Last evening the Patchogue Sketch Club met at The Cheese Patch on Main Street in Patchogue for our weekly sketch outing. It was fun to see everyone after the holidays, sketch the displays, sample some cheese and have a good time.

I love your stormy sky! Saw the cheese shop in your art journal but didn't see your stormy sky painting - it is so gorgeous. Love the sweeping vastness you captured in that painting and the heavy clouds. So much fun seeing artists I know in this challenge too!
ReplyDeleteLove your stormy sky. And you know how much I love your journals. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove the cheese patch and your stormy sky is just right!
ReplyDeleteThese are both wonderful; I especially like The Cheese Patch
ReplyDeleteYou nailed that stormy sky!! It looks just like that here most of the time! ;-)
ReplyDeleteRobert, thanks so much! It is fun finding other artists you know taking part.
ReplyDeleteJoan, thanks for coming over to look.
Lorraine, thanks. Both were fun to do.
Thanks so much, Helen!
LOL Thanks, Tina. Ireland would be like that one minute and sunny the next...but then the clouds came back.
Two quite different styles but both are perfect. Thank you for being part of the ART PARTY and for inviting people to post and vote. It's a fun way to brighten up what for me is a dull and snowy January.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sea Dean. It is fun to have a reason to visit other art blogs. I entered all my links individually. I've been accumulating them for years.
DeletePS is that favourite links to visit an app or did you enter them all individually? There are certainly a lot.
