The month is almost over but there is still time to see the artwork done for the "30 Paintings in 30 Days" challenge on Leslie Saeta's blog.

Day 29 was done from one of my photos taken on our cruise in September as we pulled into port in Volos, Greece. The sun was just coming up and the sky and the water was beautiful.

Today I took a drive to find something snowy to sketch. My first stop was down at the park along Broadway in Sayville. There were lots of kids sledding. I was able to sit in the car and sketch this.

Then I drove along Montauk Highway and stopped by Lower Pond in Oakdale. It always looks good over there.

Gorgeous sunrise!
ReplyDeleteOh I do love these Joan.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Greek Sunrise. And I love the snowy paintings. Very brave of you to go outside. I'd be home watching TV 'til Spring.
ReplyDeleteInspiring sunrise Joan!
ReplyDeleteIt looks cold! You are brave to get out and sketch, even if you stay in the car! I love both sketches though!!
Thanks, Martine!
ReplyDeleteAnn, thanks so much.
Carol, thanks. I'm so tired of being in the house so much. Luckily I had this 30 Paintings challenge to keep me busy.
Celia, thanks. It was about 25 degrees. I went out really bundled up and ended up taking off my coat in the car. lol I was too warm.
Beautiful sunrise!!! This is so representative for Greek landscape, with the little villages at the sea shore and the wonderful sky colors reflected in the sea!
ReplyDeleteThese are some of my favorites. I love seeing snow in paintings, but hope it stays there! Ha.
