Today is day 18 of "30 Paintings in 30 Days" with Leslie Saeta.
Vote if you want on Sea Dean's blog.
Today's painting was done from a reference photo I took at sunrise in Islamorada, Florida.
It was a wonderful morning!
I did a sketch yesterday sitting in my car on Main Street in Sayville.
It is hard to sketch when the traffic keeps blocking your view. lol
My friend Helen Percy Lystra is also participating in the challenge. Here is a link to her blog that is always fun to visit. She not only paints and sketches, but she collages and does fiber arts too.
Love your sky and of course you know how much I enjoy your sketch book sketches.
ReplyDeleteDear Joan, very nice Blog and great watercolor skies! Thank you for visiting my blog too and for your very nice comment! Happy to know, that we have friends in common. Good luck for the 30 paintings in 30 days - a great challenge!
ReplyDeleteI love the contrast between the painting at top and the sketch. . . the serene vs. the busy!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Joan!
ReplyDeleteMiriam, thanks. It will be fun to see your blog on a regular basis.
Tina, thanks...a bit of each. lol
I'm enjoying watching the skies progress!
ReplyDeleteYou are outdoing yourself Joan! I love looking back on the previous days, the landscapes and skies are majestic. This is a beautiful series you are creating and on top of that you still have time to do extra sketches. Keep having fun with this, it shows in each painting.
ReplyDeleteDear Joan - just catching up with your lovely sketches. This mauve morning is beautiful and as always I love it when you include street scenes with the cars and such. Hope you are staying warm. Am going to check out your friend's site when I get through looking at some of your previous work. Hugs
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Alice.
ReplyDeleteCelia, thanks!!! I will have to come up with something to challenge myself for February too.
Debbie, I'm glad you are catching up. Thanks!
