Shed at the Dock

On Thursday morning I went back to the dock by the White Cap Fish Market in Islip.
I liked the bit of clutter with the dock behind it. I can always find something there to paint.

  1. I love how the paddles on the foreground tie the two buildings together. Beautiful job, nice details!

  2. Oh wow this is lovely. You really have conveyed the feeling of a busy, slightly quirky and chaotic little place. I just want to go straight in there and poke about!! Actually, a thought just occured to me..... it reminds me of the shed at our allotment, only this is a bit more organized!! Top stuff!!

  4. I've tried painting clutter and alas, I just cannot manage it correctly. My overlapping isn't right. Anyway, I do also love the ship masts in the distance. What a crisp and clean piece that makes me want to walk by the water here.

I love this last piece so very much! There seems to be a wonderful emotional element to this painting that makes it so very enjoyable.
    Keep on painting!
