On Wednesday evening the Patchogue Sketch Club met down by the water down Rocky Point Avenue in Rocky Point for our sketch night. The dock and gazebo area had been pretty much destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. It was great to see that the repairs to it were finished, and it was in use again. There were people crabbing and fishing on the eastern side, and a sunset taking place to the west.
First I sketched a few people crabbing.
Here's a photo of that area later with the sunset colors reflected in the sky.
Next I did 3 small ATCs of the sunset.
Here are some of the other artists at work and a photo of the actual sunset.
Here's Cindy working with pastels.
Chris and Gina also working with pastels.
Roseanne sketching in pencil.
