There are many docks and marinas along the canals or small rivers in Sayville that run down into the bay. This was sketched along Browns River Road on the opposite side from the ferries.

I agree with Debbie. I am surprised at the canals and waterways. Being from landlocked areas I always just imagine the coast with no inlets. I've seen them of course, but in my mind thinks differently.
