In the Water

At this time of year on Long Island you see most boats in dry dock and shrink-wrapped for the winter. I was down by the marina behind Harbor Crab in Patchogue and saw this boat looking so nice...unwrapped. I didn't have any paper long enough for the whole mast, so I ended up working across two pages in my small 5 inch square hand made sketchbook.

  1. Your 2 page spread solution worked out well for you. Very nice sketch of the boat.

    1. Thanks, Mel. That was the only way I could fit the mast in the sketch.

  3. This is great Joan and so unexpected. I bet it is cold on the water at this time of year.

    1. LOL I definitely wouldn't go out on the water at this time of year. It is cold enough just being near it. Thanks!
