Last week my friend and I went to sketch buildings in Westbury. We found Friar’s Tavern which has been in existence for 80 years and run by the same family. It had a lot of character. Later in the day the owner’s son came out and bought the painting for his father.
Oh congratulations Joan...wonderful that the son wanted to buy it for his father. Looks like a great place to eat. Hope you are having a great Monday. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie. Hope you are having a good day too. Rainy here.
DeleteLooks like a great piece of history. Good for you for doing it and the son for buying it! Will carry on in the family. Applause.....
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Jo. I should have checked out the inside too, but I was busy finishing my painting of what was on the other side of the street.
DeleteNever enough time, eh? Great painting.
