Sayville Houses in the Snow

While the snow was still looking good I did a few more sketches in Sayville. I always look for houses that have shrubs that still have snow on them. The top sketch was done on Strathmore tan toned paper and the other was done in my Stillman and Birn Beta sketchbook.

  1. Very nice! I like the one done on toned paper. It brings a bit of warmth in an otherwise cold winter scene. More snow today and tomorrow so there will be no shortage of shrubs with snow on them for you! :-)

    1. Thanks, Mel. I think we are getting some rain/sleet right now that is keeping the snow from settling on the shrubs!

  3. Beautiful to see. I had more snow to sketch, too. :-( The toned paper makes it look old fashioned to me.
