Last week I took a ride to Northport. There are a lot of really interesting houses along the road that rises above the harbor. It was too cold to sit out and paint but I parked on the street and had a good view of the opposite side because there is only parking on one side of the street. The houses there are all built on the hillside. This house looked like a nice place to sit on the porch and watch the people go by.
The house has a soft warmth to it even though the trees look wintry.

Thanks, Tina. I could easily be happy there.
DeleteLove this. Great shadows and I like the chairs peeking through the rail. Wow.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a nice place to sit and people watch. Thanks.
DeleteJust love this Joan. As always you seem to have captured the charm of the place. The shadows make it feel as if it was a somewhat sunny day. Hope you are surviving the winter storms that have been visiting you. We are to get a possible 4 inches on the first day of spring - which is tomorrow. Take care and hold onto "Hope". Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debbie. It was a very sunny day but windy and cold...our weather story lately. I'm hoping for no more snow. lol
DeleteYou did a super job with this one Joan. It reminds me of sitting on the porch at my grandfather's.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Val. I love houses with front porches.
