At the Metropolitan Museum

Last weekend I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC with some of my sketching friends. I sketched some ancient Cypriot artwork. These were done with dry watercolor pencils.

After lunch I stood on one of the balconies overlooking the Great Hall to sketch the view.

  1. I like the brown/graphite combination on your watercolor pencil sketches. BTW, I counted 90 heads (people) from looking down the Great Hall. Is that right?

    1. Mel, thanks for counting. Too bad I wasn't doing another 100 people challenge. Thanks for your comment.

    1. Thanks, Hilda. I originally was going to sketch the hall from downstairs but it was just too crowded.

  4. Super sketches Joan, especially the view of the hall.I know those people didn't stand still for you but I really admire the way you can put them in as if they did stand still - great skill!
