Brrrr! An interesting view, though!
Beautifully painted, Joan. I love the way you painted the water under the dock.....Wonderful work.
You certainly have had your fair share of snow and ice. Your scenes can be redone in another season and be so dramatically different. Our seasons don't have so much extreme so really just hot and dry but in winter just cold but no snow
I take it you were sat on the spot in a comfy chair with your paints to paint this lovely snowscene painting. ;)
Love the post shadows, Joan! It must be fabulous living so near the water. I am just off the IL River and I love the knowledge of that.
I like the posts and the shadows too. You are very prolific, Joan!
Tina - Thanks. These "interesting views" are getting to be a bit much. lolHilda - Thanks!!Lorraine - I've painted most of these areas many times in the other seasons. This has been a little different. ThanksPolly - I was sitting in my car right at the dock. Thanks.Sherry - Being by the water gives me a lot of different views to paint. Thank you.Carol - Since I don't work I try to paint or sketch something each day. Thanks so much.
Joan - this is a wonderful sketch. I like the fact that you sketched the posts in such a way as to lead the eye deeper into the work. Very lovely.
What an amazing scene! You have painted it so beautifully Joan!
