Iced In

Much of the water around the bays near me is frozen. It has made for some different views of the areas with the snow and ice. This is one of the docks nearby in Sayville. This is 5 x 7.

  3. You certainly have had your fair share of snow and ice. Your scenes can be redone in another season and be so dramatically different. Our seasons don't have so much extreme so really just hot and dry but in winter just cold but no snow

  4. I take it you were sat on the spot in a comfy chair with your paints to paint this lovely snowscene painting. ;)

  5. Love the post shadows, Joan! It must be fabulous living so near the water. I am just off the IL River and I love the knowledge of that.

  8. Joan - this is a wonderful sketch. I like the fact that you sketched the posts in such a way as to lead the eye deeper into the work. Very lovely.
