View from Kingston's

On Wednesday I met with a few other sketchers for a bit to eat and a bit of sketching.
I thought the view was better than the food, which seemed to be lacking in quantity.
This was the view from our table at Kingston's Clam Bar in West Sayville.
We sketched until it got too dark to see the view.

  1. Love the way you rendered the surface of the water.

  2. Well done, Joan!! Looks like you've found a neat way of both sketching and keeping cool!! Our beach/water isn't so close .. so I'm glad to enjoy yours!!

  3. You know, every time I see a boat, it reawakens my desire to live on one. (The expense of maintenance alone would be prohibitive!) This is a lovely piece, Joan! Kingston's Clam Bar sounds kind of ritzy; ritzy places give smaller portions!

  4. Thanks, Tina!

Lin - You'll have to see the water views in Sept. Thanks.

Sherry - Thanks. Some of the other portions were large enough. I had 3 small shrimp tacos and if there were more than 4 shrimp between them it was a lot.
