A Summer Treat

Last week I bought a watermelon and unlike the last one I wanted to make sure I got to paint it.
So I put a big sign on it that said, "Paint slices." That way I would remember and my husband wouldn't cut it up and eat it. I was able to cut up most of it, and use a few slices for these.



Want a slice???

    Scrumptious-looking, Joan! In fact, when I saw only the thumbnail images in my blog reader, I thought these were photographs -- they look so real!

    Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Yes, I want a slice! These two paintings make me want to run to a BBQ. I also like the way you painted the cute tablecloth in the first one.

    Good job on that tablecloth. Doing those used to drive me crazy. Love the one with the three slices - the pits add just the right touch.
