In Her Glory

Yesterday morning I went into Sayville to find something to paint. It was so hot and humid and the town was really busy. All the poles were so nicely decorated for the 4th of July. So I drove until I found one that I could park across the street from and painted it from the car. With all the windows wide open I was able to finish this 5  x 7 painting without being too hot.

  1. Dear Joan what a great painting. It is beautiful and says so much about summer and the Fourth of July too. Have a great week-end.

I think our flag is so very beautiful. For artistic as well as patriotic reasons!

  6. Great painting. I am impressed that you were able to sit in your car and do it without a/c. It's been BLAZING hot in the City.
