Boat Builders

We have been having showers on and off for the last few days. Yesterday I decided I was going out to paint even if I had to do it from my car...and I did. I had the windows wide open until it changed from misty showers to actual rain for a while. The good part was that nobody was blocking my view on the dock in Sayville near the Maritime Museum. This was done in my Stillman and Birn journal and is about 4 x 7.

  1. You just made me laugh, Joan! It's a funny visual seeing you paint in the rain!! I love this painting...the sand is painted beautifully!!!

  3. Somehow I never picture Long Island as having such natural beauty! I always think of it as part of the city or like Everyone Loves Raymond. It is another lovely piece, Joan.

  4. Full marks for determination!! A charming view and, as has already been said, the sand is very effective. Nice job!
