Beach Sketches

The beach is such a great place to sketch/paint people. Unfortunately most of the time I get a view of someone from behind. These two ladies were sitting directly in front of me. Luckily they were talking for quite a while so I was able to see the sides of their faces most of the time.

Little children are among my favorite beach subjects but they don't stay still for very long. This young girl was an exception. I don't know what she was watching but she stood there for quite a while.

  2. LOL I'm glad some people stay still for long enough to at least get their heads.

  5. these are gorgeous. I love that little girl looking at the water. I would give anything to be on the beach today, instead of in the City where the temp is 100 but it feels like 110! And that means it feels like 130 in the subway. Yikes.

    Great job.

  6. Joan - I am amazed always that you can capture a scene, a face or a moving subject so well. You are certainly so talented. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful summer day.

    Polly - Thank you.

Carol - Thanks. Even I didn't go to the beach the last few days. I spent all my time in the pool...I'm sprouting gills.

    Debbie - Thanks so much!
