For my next painting for the 30 x 30 Direct Watercolor Challenge I did the newly reopened Sayville Theater. It had been closed for over a year and there were numerous stories going around about what was happening. Eventually the original owner was given permission to reopen and they renovated the place. I've never been inside but it has apparently been there for years and people who grew up in Sayville have a special attachment to it.
Such history you captured. Nothing like that here. I think there are a couple of "real" theaters left in Austin. I think they have music and plays more than movies.
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky that there are still a few small movie theaters with character around here. A lot of the newer ones do 16 movies at a time.
