Today was a rainy, wet, dreary day here in Venice. I went out for a while before lunch and found a mostly sheltered spot to sketch. It was fine until it really started to pour. I packed Up and went inside what is supposed to be the smallest church in Venice. It was really lovely with nice artwork and about 8 pews for 4/people. It also had displays of some stringed instruments dating back to the 1600s. I was impressed...but no photos were allowed.
I am also posting a page of mostly sepia sketches. I bought a bottle of ink here and finally got a dip pen to do some quick sketches. Hope your day is dry!
I like the warm color of the sepia ink! Sorry to hear it's wet in Venice... it's dry here today, but not exactly sunny.
ReplyDeleteTina, thanks! The sepia gives it an old look so it works well for Venice.
DeleteAh, rain not especially good when doing plein air sketching. I like the sepia work. Especially the wine!! We are having rain here today, too. Take care.
ReplyDeleteJo, thanks. The wine makes it all better. lol
