Winery

We have a number of good wineries out on the east end of Long Island. This is one of my favorites, Paumanok in Aquabogue. The wine is good but what I like is that you can actually see over the vines and how the vines follow the contours of the land. Most of the wineries here are very flat and you can't see the tops of the rows.

  1. Nice job! You got that touch of color well. I'm seeing a lot of trees that barely have that bit of color. Fall is here.

    1. Thanks. Today was the first day I really noticed any leaves changing color.

  2. Well done Joan! Isn't it nice that they planted so that it makes a nice picture? lol. I like the flowers at the end of the rows too - nice touch.

  3. Beautiful. They told us at a local vinyard why they planted flowers, something about how often to irrigate or some such.

    1. Thanks. I know there are flowers at the ends of most rows of vines. I don't know the reason.
