My Day 23 painting for the "30 Paintings in 30 Days" Challenge is of Lucy. I met Lucy on Saturday when I went into NYC for the Women's March. When I saw that face I knew I needed to take a photo and paint her. She was all decked out in pink for the march.
If you have a few minutes, check out the great work by the other participating artists that are taking part in the challenge. https://www.saetastudio.com/30-in-30-blog
This was just a direct in ink, quick sketch done down by the water in West Sayville.
Love your work Joan. Stay safe today. Hope to paint with you soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Joan. We definitely need to paint together soon.
DeleteWell Lucy was styling. Who knew there would be a whole industry for doggie clothes? You caught a great expression and must have taken just a super reference pic too!
ReplyDeleteLOL Lucy was so cute, especially in pink. I took a few photos to be safe.
DeleteThe first thing I thought of was, “Rrrrrruf”. Fun sketch.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jo! She has a face full of character.
DeleteI love your doggie paintings. Beautiful colors and love his eyes....
ReplyDeleteHilda, thanks. I'm glad you are enjoying them.
DeleteWhat a super perspective on Lucy - just perfect! I really like your sketch Joan, it made me smile to see all the 'toy' cars.
ReplyDeleteVal, thanks. I'm hoping if I keep sketching vehicles into scenes, I'll get better at them. lol
