Sunken Meadow View

Sunken Meadow State Park is on the north shore of Long Island on the sound. There are some lovely views of the hills and the water...and Connecticut if it is a clear day. It was cold the other day when I was there so I sat in my car facing an opening in the fence where a path was leading down to the water. This is about 5 x 7 done in my Stillman & Birn Beta Sketchbook.

  1. You get such great sketches from your car! You're my role model for in-car sketching! :-)

  4. Dear Joan - this is so nice. I just ordered a Stillman & Birn Sketchbook from Amazon...can't wait till it arrives. Everyone seems to really like these sketchbooks. Hope my sketches turn out half as good as yours...maybe I can come sketching with you and all that talent will rub off on me! Have a great week-end.
