Keeping Summer Alive

Our temps have cooled off a bit but the sun has still been warm enough that people are going to the beach and swimming. Yesterday after painting the barn below I headed down to Sayville. There is a small beach on the bay with some benches nearby for people to relax. The lifeguards were still on duty and most of the kids had off for the Jewish holidays.
There were several young teens/tweens who were in and out of the water wrapped in their towels.

This is about 5 x 7 and was done without any preliminary pencil lines.

  3. I haven't been to the beach once this year. :(
Thanks for sharing what looked like a fun beach day for those people.

  4. Thanks Sherry, Kevin, and Carol. I'm not overly fond of beaches on the sound, but this one has a lot of interesting foliage as a contrast.
