Call out to be painted and now calling out to be eaten! Love all your work Joan! The Governor's Island works are beautiful. Love the carousel! Boston just installed a new carousel on the new Rose Kennedy Greenway. Seeing your work is motivating me to get in town and maybe paint the carousel! Thanks for all your wonderful posts Joan! Your watercolors are well done and so very interesting to look at over and over again! Take care. Michael
It's never a good idea to leave your blog for a couple of days, there is always so much to catch up with!!! I've enjoyed your sketches as always, particularily the cityscapes and now, what a contrast with these two. The juicy, watery melon which looks like it will drip from the page or the pie, with those lovely, rich purples contrasted with the golden pastry. Working from the scientific opinion that no food is bad provided it's taken in moderation, I'll have both...... sorry.
I am so not much of a foodie, despite my heft, but I will say that I now have a yen for watermelon which is not one of my faves. So? Well done little paintings, Joan!
My mouth is watering. They are both healthy. LOL! Really great sketches of very sweet things.

Both enjoyable to view and eat. A two way bet on healthy or not Joan, for me I usually pick the least healthy so I will have the pie LOL

Lorraine - OK, one slice for you. Thanks.
Kevin - You know I keep sketching and painting. lol Thanks so much.
Polly - I will paint anything I see. Thanks.
Sherry - Thanks. I should have turned into a watermelon this summer.
Lin - I'll save you a piece. Thanks.
