Showgirl/Angel Lefty Lucy

This Tuesday Lefty Lucy was dressed as a showgirl/angel for Costumed in Quarantine. This was the first time I remember seeing her as a redhead and not in a blonde wig. I don't know if this is her natural hair but she rocked it. As usual she did some one and two minute poses and for most of those I was only able to capture part of her body. Finally for one of the five minute poses I grabbed a pencil and sketched her quickly. This was one of my favorite sketches of the night.

I think these were 10 minute sketches.

This was the final pose which was 20 minutes.

Lefty Lucy Poses

Last night Lefty Lucy posed in quarantine in what she called a "brothelesque" costume...a bra, lacy pants, thigh-high stockings, gloves, and her curly blonde wig. I never know quite what to expect when she comes on Zoom. lol After the warmup 1, and 2 minute poses I sort of got into the groove and liked the way most of the sketches came out. I think once I started adding color they just sort of popped.

I think this was a 5 minute pose.

10 minute poses.

This was a 20 minute pose.

Tuesday Night with Lefty Lucy

Tuesday night was another free drawing session with Lefty Lucy "Costumed in Quarantine." This week she was in costume with a firefly's wings. The dramatic red was a lot of fun to draw and then make it come alive with red watercolors. Many thanks to Lefty Lucy for modeling again!

These were 10 minute sketches.

This was her final pose which was 20 minutes.

Lefty Lucy & Life's A Beach

Last night Lefty Lucy modeled and the theme was "Life's A Beach." Of course she was costumed like she was going to the beach in a skimpy bikini and a shirt tied under her breasts. She even had a beach ball with her.

Here are a few of the quicker poses.

And the longer poses...

Lefty Lucy with a Big Hat

Last night I joined Lefty Lucy on Zoom. Typical of me I missed the first few minutes, so I'm not sure what the theme was but she looked to be wearing a bathing suit, a wrap, and a big sunhat that kept disappearing into the dark background. She was wearing a lovely curly, blonde wig.

Here are the three 10 minute poses.

This was the final pose which lasted 20 minutes.

Lefty Lucy Costumed Again

Last night was Tuesday and the evening that Lefty Lucy models on Zoom and is "Costumed in Quarantine." I missed the first few minutes where she usually talks about what she is wearing and I was at a loss of what the costume was, so in the chat I asked her. She had dressed in a costume related to the circus each week this month. Last night she was dressed for the sideshow at Coney Island and was wearing her "Miss Coney Island" sash from a few years ago when she won it. I'm not quite sure what the structure was that she was wearing which looked sort of like a cage, maybe with seaweed hanging from it. She said her idea was Poseidon meets Marie Antoinette. lol

This was a 5 minute pose.

This was a 10 minute pose.

Another 10 minute pose.

Here  is the final pose of the night...20 minutes.

Circus Girl

Tonight Lefty Lucy posed for Costumed in Quarantine. It is a fun sketch time so I try really hard to organize my evening so I am finished with what I have to do for Jerry by 7 when it starts. Tonight she dressed in a circus costume with a feathered headpiece. The hoops were the hardest things to sketch. lol

These are the two 10 minute poses.

This was the 20 minute pose.

Clown

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to attend Lefty Lucy's Costumed in Quarantine last night, but found the time...I just left the dinner dishes until later. lol This week Lucy was dressed like a Harlequin Clown. She posed with and without juggling pins...and yes, she could do a bit of juggling.

Here are the longer 10 and 20 minute sketches.

Here are my 5 minute sketches.

Lefty Lucy at the Diner

Last evening I was able to arrange my schedule so that I could participate in Lefty Lucy's Costumed in Quarantine Zoom event. This week we joined her at the diner. She wore a diner waitress's outfit, had a coffee pot, a mug, a giant ice cream cone, etc. It was a fun night of poses.

Here are some 5 minute poses.

And a few 10 minute poses.

And a final 20 minute pose.

Costumed in Quarantine

Tonight was another session with Lefty Lucy and Costumed in Quarantine. This time she was dressed like a cat with a mask that someone had made for her. She has such a great body and face that it seemed a shame to cover it with a mask and a furry jacket. I guess I sort of got into it by the mid point in the sketching. I imagine that the costume was a bit warm and the mask must have been hot. She said it was roomy on the inside. Here are some of the sketches I did.

Lefty Lucy Night

Last night, Lefty Lucy modeled again on Zoom. She always has an interesting "costume" and this week she also had a colorful wig. She is a lot of fun to sketch and has music playing the whole time.

I didn't include my one minute and two minute poses. Most of them looked too unfinished, but I am pretty happy with most of these.

After the short poses 10 minutes seems so long. lol

I like this one but her body should have been taller. I've got to watch the body proportions. :)

Sketches - Lefty Lucy Session 3 & a Virtual Trip to Madrid

Last night was the 3rd live session with Lefty Lucy Costumed in Quarantine. She moved from Facebook to Zoom for the session, and it seemed to work a bit better.

5 minute poses

10 minute poses

20 minute pose

The other day the #VirtualSketch group went to Madrid. I wandered the streets a bit and found this interesting chocolateria. I think it would be a place I would stop. I left this as a brush pen sketch.

Happy Easter & Lefty Lucy

Happy Easter to all of you who are celebrating today.

This is a painting I did a while ago that I decided fit the holiday spirit. I hope this Easter, although it is rather unusual for most of us, brings us the hope, faith, and joy were are needing right now.

Somehow I missed posting about sketching Lefty Lucy this week. Lefty Lucy is a showgirl in New Orleans and though Costumed in Quarantine she has been posing several nights a week for artists. She wears a different costume for each session and it has been an enjoyable experience. The two times I joined in the sessions were on Facebook, but due to problems I think she is switching to Zoom this coming week. I missed the quicker poses but was able to get sketches done for a good part of the session.
Although the modeling session is free, she does say that tips are greatly appreciated, and like any other business person right now she needs to make a bit of money, so I don't mind tipping at all.
