At the beginning of the week I went to the Bayard Cutting Arboretum. Their tulips were in bloom and looked so nice! I sat by the manor house and did this sketch of the tulips that were in the bed there.
Here are a few of the photos I took while I was wandering around.
That red one is AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? Thanks.
DeleteYour painting is sooooo nice. Thanks for the springy photos, too.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed seeing them! I love seeing everything in bloom. Thanks!
DeleteWhat a great job you did on these tulips, Joan. They look like they are moving.
ReplyDeleteYour life had already changed before the C-virus and I bet you are glad you got all the traveling in when you did. When will your hubby be ready to come home - any idea?
You are my inspiration for carrying on, no matter what. A gift you gave without knowing and I wanted you to know it helped. thank you. Stay safe.
Thank you so much, Julie! I'm glad my behavior inspired you. Sometimes I think I should cut back, but if I have the time why not do something for my sanity? Jerry is supposed to be coming home on Thursday. I've been busy trying to gather up what we need to have at home for him. I guess you know what that is like too. Stay well over there.
DeleteBeautiful tulips, Joan. Spring is finally here...Your painting is wonderful and I love the last photo of the pink tulips...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hilda. I passed by the Bayard Arboretum this morning around 10:30 and there was a line of about 25 cars waiting to get in. I went over to Robert Moses instead.
DeleteYour painting of the tulips is lovely Joan and the photos are great too BUT the best one is the field of pink tulips - how special that must have been to see in person.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. Val, there were so many really pretty plantings of the tulips. I'm glad I went when I did since today I wouldn't have been able to get in because it was so crowded.
DeleteWow! Those tulips painting is one of your best by far. Great job!!
