I know you can't tell from the image, but this painting is 2 inches by about 5 1/2 inches. It was painted down by the East Islip Marina. We were surprised with a beautiful day yesterday with temps about 65 degrees and no wind for a change. I was able to sit outside and sketch and then take a long walk along the marina boardwalk. Today the weather has changed dramatically. We started at about 54 degrees this morning with rain. The temperature has been dropping all day and it is only about 33 degrees right now. We had snow flurries for a little while but the rain took over. Hope the weather where you are is better.
Love your sweet little painting, Joan:) Great fall color with a hint at the approach of winter.
ReplyDeleteAh, but 65 degrees and no wind. Sounds like a great day on the boardwalk! Weather here in Eugene, OR: 50-ish, cloudy, could be rain - typical here.
Thanks so much, Chris. It was a day to enjoy!
DeletePretty and so much detail in a small painting.
ReplyDeleteJo, thank you! I like seeing what I can get into the small paintings.
DeleteA charming painting Joan. I so like scenes this shape. And our weather isn't great either - about 39 with some snow on the ground = winter has arrived!
ReplyDeleteBrr...I want autumn back. lol Thanks!
