Yesterday I took a ride to the Seatuck Environmental Center in Islip. Although the building wasn't open to the public at this time of year, I had a perfect parking spot to sit and sketch the greenhouse. From the sign on the other side of it I found out it was an Eagle Scout project done in 2012.
I really like this one, maybe it is the turquoise. I like your tree techniques on the dry bushes.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jo. I like the turquoise too.
DeleteNice shadows and tree texture!
ReplyDeleteMel, thanks so much.
DeleteNicely done Joan. I really enjoy the glimpses you give of your area, they are so varied.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Val. I'm glad you enjoy them.
DeleteJoan this looks like a wonderful place...love the color of the building...is it really that hue or did you use some artistic license? Thanks also for visiting me at my blog...yes I do love music especially those old tunes. Hope you are having a great week. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt is a great place and the building in the back is a historic estate. Yes, the building was actually a turquoise color...one of my favorites. I enjoy the music selections you've been posting. Have a great week!
DeleteAn interesting building Joan. Leave it to you to find this place!!!! Beautiful colors and I love the shadows.
