On this very cold NY morning, I'm hoping this sunny yellow flower will warm you up. "Dance in Yellow" is my Day 19 painting for Leslie Saeta's challenge "30 Paintings in 30 Days." This is 5 x 5 inches.

On one of our cold, overcast days last week I headed up to Port Jefferson and painted this house along the harbor. It was at the bottom of a hill just overlooking the water. This is 5 x 7.
Very appropriate title Joan!! Loving your flowers.
ReplyDeleteLove the 'dancing' petals and you are right it does cheer one up. Fabulous job on the house. Just curious - do you sit in the car to work or do you get outside? And, how long did this take to do?
ReplyDeleteLove the out-stretched petals... "sun come warm me!". Such a grand old house :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Prerana!
ReplyDeleteVal, thanks. Most of the year I do paint outside, but not through the winter. I sit in the car to paint. This is 5 x 7 and probably took around an hour.
Sheila, thank you!
It does warm me up! How cheerful!
ReplyDeleteThese are both gorgeous paintings Joan! You are such a natural with both flowers and houses.
ReplyDeleteTina, I'm glad you felt the cheer! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Wendy.
