My reference for day 22 of "30 Paintings in 30 Days" was taken at the Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay. I think the name is fairly appropriate because it looks like a little foot could slip right into it.

This is one of the buildings at Post Morrow in Brookhaven, part of public land that has been set aside. The little bit of snow we had the other day added to the charm.
The dark background is the perfect backdrop to this gorgeous flower!I love the sketch, amazing work Joan!
ReplyDeleteOh Joan been catching up on all your posts. All your flowers are so lovely. Your hibiscus was one of my favorites. Lady Slipper just looks like I could reach out and touch it. So glad you and your sister had an art day. What fun. That new place to gather in Sayville would certainly be my kind of eaterie. Hope you stay safe during your snowstorm. Will be" looking up" for you. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThanks, Celia. I like how the dark background sets it off.
ReplyDeleteDebby, thank you so much. I'm glad you were able to catch up. I hope the storm wasn't/isn't too bad down there. Stay warm and safe.
I am still enjoying your beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the flower. Your colors are beautiful and the way you handled the spots impresses the heck out of me. they look so natural.
ReplyDeleteSnowy scene - lovely - is more on the way for you?
Super job depicting the curls in the petals!
