Sunken Meadow State Park is on the north shore of Long Island on the sound. There are some lovely views of the hills and the water...and Connecticut if it is a clear day. It was cold the other day when I was there so I sat in my car facing an opening in the fence where a path was leading down to the water. This is about 5 x 7 done in my Stillman & Birn Beta Sketchbook.
You get such great sketches from your car! You're my role model for in-car sketching! :-)
ReplyDeleteI hear those sketchbooks are great quality. Really beautiful Joan!
ReplyDeleteNow that is one neat beach and it looks amazing, Joan!
ReplyDeleteDear Joan - this is so nice. I just ordered a Stillman & Birn Sketchbook from Amazon...can't wait till it arrives. Everyone seems to really like these sketchbooks. Hope my sketches turn out half as good as yours...maybe I can come sketching with you and all that talent will rub off on me! Have a great week-end.
ReplyDeleteTina - Thanks. The secret is in finding the parking. lol
ReplyDeleteCelia - Thanks. I like the Stillman & Birn journals, the betas more than the others.
Sherry - It is a nice quiet spot with lovely scenery. Thank you.
