This was painted here en plein air by the beach here in Myrtle Beach. Barnacles is a cafe right on the beach on the Springmaid Beach Pier. It is on one side of the building and the gift shop is on the other side. We had a sunny day, about 65 degrees. We took a nice long walk on the beach, and had time for sketching before meeting with our instructor for our workshop.
Beautifully painted, Joan! This is the place I need to be right now!
ReplyDeleteOh good, you got good weather and were able to walk! Love the little shack.
ReplyDeleteGreat
Great palms too! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou are in Myrtle Beach? What a great spot for a workshop, I am thinking. Love the painting and the name of the shop.
ReplyDeleteHave just been catching up on your blog Joan - lots of great work including this one! I enjoyed looking at the other blog with the kitchen theme. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteJoan - wish I was sharing that 65 degree weather...very smart of you to go somewhere warmer for a few days. Your Barnacles Cafe is so charming. Have a great workshop. Will be looking forward to all your new work.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!!! Unfortunately our weather here has changed to rain.
