Cordwood Park View

This weekend I found myself sketching at Cordwood Park in Saint James.  It ia an area of open space along the water in Smithtown, but has parking only for about 6 cars and says you need a Smithtown permit to park. I ignored that since it was off season and sketched from my mobile studio rather than climbing down by the water.

  1. Good for you getting out and sketching. I did nothing. I love your fall colors. Nice to see some, we have none yet. Lucy was fun this week, you capture the costumes and hair so well. I didn’t comment, but always look! Hugs.

    1. Thanks, Jo. I'm glad to know you look even if you don't comment. Hope you are sketching something today.

  2. Lovely! The waning days of the fall season and the trees are almost bare. Seeing your painting reminds of a spot in Greenwich Point Park, CT.

    1. Thanks! The trees have lost so many leaves in the last few days...I think it was our tornado winds. Getting a little cold out for outdoor sketching.
