Arboretum Flowers

While I was at the arboretum I also painted some flowers. I love the look to these but I have no idea what they are. They were in the camellia house but were't identified. This is in my Stillman & Birn journal and is about 4 x 6.

And the next installment of my fake journal.

  2. Hello Joan, I just happened upon your lovely blog. The beautiful orange flowers you have painted look very much like Clivia to me, which are native to Southern Africa.

  5. The computer ate my comment yesterday so I will try again. I really liked the arboretum painting. Have wanted to paint that same scene (what a surprise!). About climbing the monument... you know I'm too out of shape to climb 3000 steps, AND, this was supposed to be a much needed vacation. I can also do without the smell of pork! Other than that, I am really enjoying our road trip. We really shoud do this more often ;))
