Hidden Porch

Yesterday I rode around looking for something that attracted me, but the trees have no pop of color and everything looked so barren and brown! Finally I found this spot in Bellport. The part of the house to the right had enough trees and foliage hiding it  that I could sort of ignore the perspective nightmare it would be to actually draw it. lol This is 5 x 7.

  1. You did a good job with this painting Joan. I know what you mean about the perspective thing, it can get to be a nightmare sometimes. You chose a great subject with this one.

Glad you found this hidden porch and painted it for us to enjoy!
Great splashes of color in this one. Especially in the foreground.

  4. Joan, I love doing things with perspective these days. I had a great book on it when I was trying to do my at home art study course. Anyway, the grounds and home are so lovely!! You found the perfect place to paint! I am with Hilda; I also love character-filled old houses.

Hilda - I could easily paint most of the homes in Bellport. Thanks.
