The Dock in Sayville

Yesterday I headed over to the water in Sayville where I often paint. Much of the debris and sand have already been cleared away, and on the few streets I drove through the buildings were still standing. Who knows what they are like on the inside though. While I was there I sketched a dock from the parking lot of a spot appropriately named "Land's End."

  1. Very nice. A much needed calmness.
I can almost smell the salt water.
    Take care.

  2. I really want to see inside the boat. Don't know why but I do! Love the autumnal feel with the palette, Joan.

  3. I'm so glad you found the beach cleared and clean -- and you're right -- who knows about inside ... this is marvelously done, Joan ... love it! And applaud you again for getting out to paint!

  4. Michael - Thanks!

Sherry - Thank you. It feels like winter today!

Lin - Thanks. There are so many houses around with serious water damage.
