Heading East

It was a mild day today and I decided to go capture some color before it is gone. I headed down to South Country Road in East Patchogue again, this time heading east. A lot of the trees that I painted the other day have lost the bulk of their leaves but this spot looked pretty good. Since it is a narrow road with not much leeway on the sides I opted to do this from my "mobile studio."

  1. Very nicely captured and a great composition! Most of our color is gone...but I remember ours started a little earlier, too.

    1. Thanks, Tina. The leaves are disappearing very quickly here!

  2. Charming Joan. Our trees are mostly bare as we have had a lot of rain but maybe next year I will get some photos so I can do some autumn scenes. I have enjoyed the scenes you share with us.

    1. Many thanks, Val. We've had a lot of rain lately which has caused a lot of the leaves to fall off the trees. They are falling faster than usual.

  3. Rule of thirds worked very well in your composition. Love the undulating shape of the road, fence and trees filled with color. I know you'll not forget to add the middle yellow lines this time :-)
