Indian Island View

This painting was done in the same park as the previous post. I liked the trees against the sky but in order to get back far enough to see the beach and the grasses I had to sit in the parking lot. I thought it would be safer to sit in my car than worry about someone driving into me while I was painting. This is about 3 x 8.

  1. This is a really lovely composition. . . I have a thing for bare trees, and I guess you do, too!

  2. It suddenly caught my attention that these trees are growing in sand. I didn't know that trees could flourish in sand, other than the types of trees one sees in Florida or on tropical islands. Probably sounds silly but there you have it. This is just a beautiful painting, Joan!

  4. Tina, thanks. There is something about seeing the shape of the bare tree.

Sherry, thanks. Yes we have a number of different trees here that survive in sandy soil. I never thought about it either. lol

    Celia, thanks so much.

    Mickey, thanks!
