Sea Shells

In my guest bathroom I have a glass jar with a collection of shells from assorted places. Some of them are complete shells and some of them are imperfect and may have cracks or holes. I find those interesting too. I sketched just a few on an ATC sized card.

ATCs

Last evening my Wednesday night sketch group met at the library. We had a real low turnout since it was so close to Christmas...only 4 of us showed up. We didn't have a theme but we are planning an ATC exchange soon so I thought I would do a few of those. I brought along a few Christmas characters that I used for one card and then I used a reference photo on my phone for the other card.

Sky Over the Trees

After I did the ATCs at Smith Point Beach I did a 5 x  7 of the sky and ground. It was just too pretty to pass up.

Beach Chair & Lifeguard ATCs

This week one of my art groups did an ATC exchange. Everyone brought a selection of original ATCs that they had made to exchange with the other members. These were the last two that I did for the trade.

Here is the collection of ATCs that I got in the exchange.

Roses

On Tuesday my plein air group met at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum. There were some lovely roses blooming there so a few of us focused on them. The first two roses are ATC sized (for my exchange) and the last one is 5 x 7.

Here are a few new flower ATCs that I've done for the exchange my art group is doing. These were done when I was at the Peconic Herb Farm after I did the yupo painting.

ATCs

I am still working on some ATC sized mini paintings for the art swap my group is doing this month. These two were done down by the bay in Sayville.

Dune ATCs

One of my art groups is having an ATC exchange at the end of the month. I'm trying to get some of these tiny paintings done before the meeting, so I did two while I was at the beach the other day.

ATCs

Here are two more ATCs I've done for my landscape exchange on WetCavas.

This is "Ireland II" which was sent to my friend, Ai, in Thailand.
This was done from one of the photos I took in Ireland.

This was sent to Joanne in Oregon and is titled "Short Beach".
It was done en plein air.

New ATCs for the WetCanvas Landscape Exchange

Here are a few more ATCs (2.5 x 3.5) that I've done for the WetCanvas Landscape Exchange.
All of these were done en plein air and have been received by their new owners.

This was for Dominic in the UK and is titled "Across the Water."
It was painted near the Maritime Museum in West Sayville.

Both of these were painted from Smith Point Park.
This one was done facing the mainland
Here is "Beach View I" which I sent to Bridget in Alberta, Canada.

"Beach View II" was done for Bonnie in Regina, SK, Canada.
This time I faced the ocean.

Marsh View II

I am doing an exchange on Wet Canvas of ATC sized landscapes (2.5 x 3.5).
I will post the paintings after they arrive at their destinations. Some are traveling a great distance.
The first one that has been received went to my friend, Eileen Cannon,
who lives in Costa Blanca, Spain.

This is titled "Marsh View II" and was done en plein air at the Maritime Museum in Sayville. In the background you can see across the Great South Bay to Fire Island.
