My friend was still working on one of her paintings for the SBAA Plein Air Event so I went over to Robinson's Pond to keep her company. Unfortunately the pond has a lot of algae that spoils the view of it. But I sat and painted a small scene while we chatted.
One of the resident swans kept swimming by so I did a small sketch of it.
That's too bad about the algae. We had some here a couple of years ago, seems gone. Don't know about the why of it?? I like your sketch. Pretty cool swan, lucky catch.
ReplyDeleteA lot of the ponds here get the algae and I don't know why. I'm glad the swan stayed in the area long enough for me to sketch him. I'd get his neck done and then he would turn away...not cooperative.
