For my Day 27 direct watercolor painting I painted on location at the Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank. I am assuming that the silos contain grain for the animals. I was really happy with the way this came out.
Weird how our mind works. I never expected to see silos in New York. Why not? People raise animals and have farms everywhere. Your sketch is fabulous. Thanks for waking my brain!
LOL I don't see too many of them around here. We have farms but they are mostly agricultural. This place has cows, sheep, pigs. llamas, goats, etc so I guess they need the silos.

DeleteThis is excellent, Joan! Love how you captured the forms of the silos! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Tina. They are a bit different to paint.
