I was up in Port Jefferson the other day to view an art exhibit that I have two paintings in. Of course I brought along my sketching supplies. I wanted to sketch this red tugboat that is there, but due to construction I couldn't find a spot with a view of it. So I looked for a substitute and this was it.
Nice sketch, Joan. So true, that one often goes out sketching with one opportunity, but something else crops up. So great that you sketched this one instead.
ReplyDeleteReally nice! It always seems like summer to be sketching boats, but I guess it's still pretty cold there!

Thanks, Michele. I was initially frustrated but it turned out for the best.
ReplyDeleteTina, most of the boats here are still shrink wrapped. lol I was happy to find one that was uncovered. Thanks.
You did a great job with all the lines in this sketch. Love the pier and the reflections, it will give you reason to have to go back for what you originally had intended. Wish you and your family a very happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteCelia, thanks so much. Hopefully they will be finished with the repairs before I go back. Happy Easter!
