Pumpkin Patch

Last Thursday I took a ride to the Organics Today Farm in East Islip. The owner was so sweet and allowed me to paint out by the pumpkin patch. My plein air group was scheduled to paint there yesterday, but I knew I wasn't going to be able to go with them. I'm glad I got to go last week, from photos I saw today, the field had a lot fewer pumplins when they went.

  1. Wonderful watercolor, Joan! I love this time of the year!!

  2. Gorgeous Joan. The corn stems set off the pumpkins beautifully.

  3. Such a beautiful autumn piece! We're going to a pumpkin patch this Sunday with the grandkids. I wonder if they'll still have quite a few pumpkins. I have to remember to bring the camera.

  4. Dear Joan - this is a great painting. I love pumpkins and this time of the year. Glad you went early and caught a few more pumpkins to paint. Have a wonderful week.

  5. Hilda - Thanks!

Laura - Thank you. I liked the look peeking through the stalks.

Sherry - Thanks. If the pumpkin patch is like the ones here they will bring in a new supply for the weekend.

    Debbie - Thanks so much!
