Barber Shop

I've always wanted to sketch this barber shop in Sayville but usually there are too many cars parked along the street to see anything. This time there were snow piles, but they weren't as disruptive to the scene as the cars.

  1. Perfect! the quaint shop, the women passing by, the snow all piled up. Like I said... Perfect.

  2. Just wonderful painting Joan. The use of red and green certainly compliments each other. Stay warm friend. Our snow is almost entirely gone today - but more is on the way. Take care - hugs!

    1. Debbie, thank you. A lot of our snow has melted but we still have some big piles so it will be around a while yet...or until tomorrow's heavy rain.

  3. This is super Joan. I think you were lucky that you had to paint this with snow in the foreground as it makes such a perfect contrast with the red in the barbershop. Well done!
