I really love the houses in the town of Sayville. At this time of year there are so many with flowering plants and cute, sitting areas on porches. It gives that small town America feeling. This was along a main road so I thought it was safest to paint it from my car.
Beautiful job and I love how you cropped the house to highlight the porch. I would love to sit there with a glass of ice tea.
ReplyDeleteCelia, I agree with you...but maybe wine instead of tea. Thanks.
DeleteAh Joan I can feel the quaintness of this place. The blue chair and hydrangeas make me feel like I am just getting ready to go up to the door. Super job. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Debbie.
DeleteWhat a wonderful catch of a,neighborhood feel. Lazy days of summer
ReplyDeleteNelvia, thanks. I love places like this.
DeleteLovely painting Joan. It brings back memories of the porch on my grandfather's house although it was covered with ivy and we could hide there and watch people secretly - our own little world. Homes now just don't have the same character - sigh!
ReplyDeleteVal, porches are so great and make you feel like part of the community. Thanks.
DeleteI love porches, too. Nicely done…..
