I took along watercolor paper to the beach the other day hoping to do a small painting. I hadn't sketched or painted a portrait in a while so I tried to find someone who looked like they would stay put for a while. I am not used to sketching people in a reclined position. I found that a little difficult. lol
Very brave of you, Joan! I sketch a lot of people, but generally not portraits at the beach! :-)
ReplyDeleteI figured she wouldn't notice. lol
DeleteClever...lovely color. I think you did a great job and I applaud you for trying a difficult position.
ReplyDeleteI guess it isn't any more difficult than sketching a reclining model, but I haven't done one in years. Thanks, Julie.
DeleteGreat job Joan...love the position you chose for your portrait. Hope you had a lovely weekend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Debbie!
DeleteHow very awkward Joan - did you have to lie down to get that perspective? Good job on a difficult subject!
ReplyDeleteI was just sitting in my beach chair under my umbrella. lol Thanks.
