Riverhead Farm & 100 People Completed

My plein air group went out to a farm in Riverhead on Tuesday. It was hot and I had to hide under my painting umbrella for some shade to do this view.

Today at the beach I completed my sketches for #oneweek100peoplesymposium. In fact I did more than 103 because I lost count.

I started organizing my supplies for the Urban Sketching Symposium in Chicago. I leave on Tuesday but am really procrastinating. I did get some supplies ready...now I have to decide how many and which sketchbooks to take.

  1. Great sketches on your 100 people! Congrats on completing the challenge. :)
I think we are getting a bit of hot weather practice for the symposium.

I, too, have been procrastinating. Probably could have been packed by now. Tina and I are both looking forward to sketching with you at last! See you there!

    1. Hilda, you are right. They are disappearing too fast. Thanks.

  4. Super job on the farm sketch Joan - it is so hard to do watercolour when it is so hot as there is so little blending time. I had to laugh when you said you had lost count of your people sketches as I wondered the other day how you kept track. Good job all round - have fun at the symposium.

    1. I tried to keep a tally on the top of the page to help keep count, but even that didn't help much. Thanks.

  5. Dear Joan - the sketch of Riverhead Farm is super. As for your 100 people I had know doubt that you would reach your goal in plenty of time. Hope you have a lovely trip to Chicago. Take care and enjoy your visit to the windy City. Hugs!
