Portrait Day

The South Bay Art Association's Portrait Group had Mary as a model this week.


I finished my portrait of Mary before everyone else was done, so I decided to do a sketch of the sketchers and painters working. This was done in my Stillman & Birn Beta Sketchbook.

    EXCELLENT sketches, Joan! I can't believe you can manage a portrait so quickly! Love the point of view of the second sketch too.

    Thanks Hilda, Polly and Sherry! I worked on the portrait for about 1 1/2 hrs. After that I tend to just fuss so it is better if I stop. lol
